Experience: 5 To 10 (years)
Should be a qualified paint technologist/Mechanical engineer or chemical engineer with vast experience in paint shop activities. Hands on experience of Paint shop equipments like spray guns, pumps, blowers, burners. Understanding of drawings of components. Must have knowledge of pre-conditions of painting like Humidity, dew point, temperature, Paint viscosity etc. Can understand and explain painting specifications. Should have knowledge of surface preparation before painting (Shot blasting etc.). Understanding of Paint defects and trouble shooting. Should have knowledge of paint mixing and pot life of paint. Should have knowledge of different type of painting surface tests (Cross cut, adhesion test, Holiday test, dry film thickness measurement etc.). NACE certification is desired. Should be able to guide and control a team of painters.
